these are a light weight representation of a skin hence meta skin. each meta skin has a soft reference to a skin and a collection of variables to describe it: like title, thumbnail and text description.

also meta skins can have tags, these will mainly be used to filter them later on.

the main reason for this it to allow the ui ( or any other system) to be able to display or manage skins without actually loading them. note that these too are only loaded when in use and will be unloaded when no longer in use.
